I attached the motion that we present in the full council last June in relation to the brutal Israeli military attacks against people in solidarity with Palestine.

MOTION
The military action ordered by the government of Israel against the so-called 'Freedom Flotilla' which was carrying humanitarian aid to the Palestinian population in Gaza has led to the killing of 10 aid workers, in addition to other wounds about fifty. These facts constitute a "crime against humanity" that require a "quick and powerful international political response to end impunity
However, as has happened before with other illegal acts committed by Israel, with the construction of the wall or the 2008 attack against Gaza that killed 1440 civilians, we can only hope that the United States, the European Union, and organizations like the UN , look the other way besides what is shameful, they say.
As in all conflicts in the world, the solution to the conflict between the state of Israel and the Palestinian people will come through dialogue and negotiation, as has been claimed from the Palestinian people thousands of times.
But Israel refuses to abide by international resolutions and to respect basic human rights of the Palestinian population. The construction of the wall in the West Bank and the Gaza blockade, which lasted more than two years, represent collective punishment for the entire Palestinian population.
More than 200 Palestinian civil society organizations, many personalities and intellectuals, and some governments and institutions have for years been conducting a campaign to promote the boycott, divestment and international sanctions (BDS) to pressure Israel in order to end the occupation, after 42 years in the Palestinian territories. The BDS is a non-violent tactics used earlier to pressure other countries, forcing them to abide by international law as apartheid in South Africa.
Given the permissiveness of states and international organizations, is the responsibility of civil society and grassroots organizations promoting these measures. To promote the boycott, also from our town, can be a valuable contribution.
Therefore, the City Council agrees:
1. This town hall shows his most emphatic condemnation of the assault ordered by the Government of Israel against the "freedom flotilla" that was carrying humanitarian aid to the population of Gaza, which has caused the deaths of 10 aid workers and injuring more than fifty ..
2. The City Council shows its support for the campaign of boycott, divestment and promotion of international sanctions (BDS) to pressure the state of Israel driven by personalities and civil society organizations around the world.
3. The council rejected and excluded consumer products, cultural, entertainment and any other, source, manufacture or with interests in the Israeli state.
4. Declared as Non Grata's presence in our town of organizations, groups, businesses, sports teams, cultural groups ... to come on behalf of the state of Israel.
5. Breaking the possible institutional relationships that our people have with the Israeli state.
6. This town hall to the Government of Israel sent a letter rejecting the attack on the flotilla.
7. This motion will be sent to the media, in particular, and all residents of the municipality.
